Christmas Shopping for Kids on Etsy! Part One.

By Friday’s Guest, Sharni.

I have finally made peace with the idea that my son does not share my love and appreciation of wooden toys. We have many beautiful items here, but he just likes his plastic (more detailed) dinosaurs and Matchbox cars. I come across so many beautiful things during my nightly online browsing and thought I could share with you some of my recent finds. Perhaps I can live vicariously through your child? Most of the below links are actually from overseas, but if you look at the postage rates they are often not much more (and sometimes even less) than the postage prices within Australia! If you prefer to buy locally (and there are many good reasons to do so), you can change your locational search on the left hand side of the screen.

Happy browsing and best wishes for the festive season, I hope you can be inspired by my findings!
Arks and Animals
This Etsy shop has some gorgeous and unique wooden toys that would be perfect for Christmas. I am not a personal fan of Cats (allergies), but I love this:

The boys (and some girls) may be more interested in this one.
I love that they have storage. Good storage means less mess!
Here’s a great unisex option.
Cheaper options that would make great stocking stuffers or even split the items over the advent period. The kids will love collecting the pieces every day to finally create their special scene-
Store owner, Gunther, has advised me that they are extremely busy and having trouble keeping up with orders. I would suggest you order as soon as possible to ensure Christmas delivery. Add this shop to your Favourites, I am sure there are birthdays just around the corner!
This next shop is one of my personal favourites. I have purchased from this shop twice and have been extremely satisfied both times. Mama Made Them.  Oakley will be getting these for Christmas.
and he has all of these and they are beautiful-
I have been turned into a frog by this many times-
We don’t have this Three Billy Goats set , but I love it.

Or you might try a beautiful and inexpensive personalised ornament.

Don’t forget the very little ones- teething rings. Perfect.

These prices are already great, but shop owner, Cheryl, has made them even better by offering a coupon for 5% off! Use the code 5PERCENT in the coupon box when you order. Get in early for Christmas as these are made to order.
If you are feeling crafty, you might like to consider making your own special gifts. I have recently finished this T-Rex for Ned-
It was a bit challenging for me as I am quite new to this kind of craft, but I am happy with the end result. The patterns are detailed with great instructions! I plan on making these ones too-

If you’re handy with a sewing machine, you might like to turn your own child into a dinosaur

Check out the shop Tiddliwink Toys

Shop owner, Kathy, wants to get you sewing up a storm and has provided this generous offer- Buy two patterns, get one free! All you need to do is buy the two patterns you like and then request your free pattern in the ‘message to seller’ box and she will email it to you with the other two! Thanks so much Kathy, I will definitely be taking advantage of that offer!

Happy Christmas Gift Shopping!!  Pop back next Friday for a whole lot more Etsy fun!
